Donald played between 1991-2003.
Pollock played between 1995-2008.
Two contrasting styles.
Two contrasting personalities.
Both of them were truly fire and ice in terms of styles.
Between 1991-2003; Donald had the best average.
Between 1991-2003; Donald had the best strike rate.
Between 1995-2008; Shaun had the best economy.
Both are very different and yet were a perfect combo.

Did McGrath and Lee open together that much? It was Fleming, Gillespie and later Johnson/Clarke who shared the new ball with McGrath I thought. Someone gotta lookup

He was very good in ODIs even in late 90s early 2000s.
I won't call having 5+ ER very good in that era. Literally the second most expensive bowler with 100+ wickets.
If you see 50+ wickets then couple of additional ZIm bowlers show up higher than ER of 5+.

SR of 30 does not help at all when you are so expensive in limited overs with 10 overs to bowl. Actually, 5 bowlers like Waqar bowling 50 overs will be deadly for their own team and not oppostion. Limited over games are won by giving less runs than opposition. With SR of 30, it's not like you can blast out oppositions. I meant you can have 5 waqar bowling for you for 50 overs, oppositing will score 250+ runs and team will lose most games.

ER of bowlers against non-minnows - 100 plus wickets.

ER of pacers with 50 plus wickes.
