*Official* Sri Lanka in New Zealand, 2024–25 (ODIs / T20Is)

Tom Latham, he’s so gun. We need him because he’s so good in the sub-continent. Except he was hopeless in the World Cup in India. 🤦🏻‍♂️ The thinking is so poor. We cannot keep going back to this guy in ODI cricket.
As for GP: his form has fallen off a cliff.

Latham’s done nothing this series, absolute passenger. Played one crucial knock in a test in India, aside from that I can’t remember a decent contribution from him in international cricket for yonks.

Must be some decent humidity in Auckland today. Cloud cover doesn’t seem to be a factor, the ground is bathed in sunshine at the moment.

One way of looking at it is it’s a dead rubber, and another way is that this is the first time in the series that SL have got their act together, and NZ have folded up like a wet paper bag under a bit of pressure.

Heh we are getting completely ****ed but on the bright side thank ****ing **** that ****head didn't get soft runs and take over an allrounder slot for the next year. Probably will anyway because stead.

I've been critical of Chapman in the past but he's the only one of our batsmen that has turned up today, everyone else looks like they have checked out.

His ODI record they flashed up earlier is better than I thought. Average in the mid-30's with a couple of tons. This is a great opportunity for Smith too with plenty of time to bat here.

The 124* was for Hong Kong against UAE tbf. But this innings has nudged his average for NZ up to 30.36.

No mug with the bat Henry. Always been more reliable than a certain long time number 8 cough cough. With bat and ball.

I gave up on this game to watch the Big Bash and see Smith hit another ton for the Sydney Sixers.

He is on another level in that competition, it would be like Williamson batting in the Super Smash but I don't think he ever does.

He can't even be bothered batting in this T20 and ODI series against Sri Lanka let alone batting in the Super Smash, not that I blame him.

Taking the easy cash before he retires.
