Steyn bowled in a pretty good overall attack, especially in the 2010s. He had no Warne to compete with for, but Philander, Morkel, Abbott, later on Rabada were all real threats, especially at Home.

Philander and Abbott came a bit mid career. Rabada really towards the end.

Warne was pretty much McGraths entire career. He was hardly needed for lower order and tail cleanup.
