Why are people thinking that Australia will only need 160 to win?

Bumrah might be crocked and you only need a few cameos to break the back of the chase.

If Bumrah is fit then yeah 165 or so is very dicey.

AUS have got themselves in trouble by batting so poorly against the second string bowlers. I'd still rather be in their position than India's. Even a 200 chase just requires two of the top seven to get fifties and the odd 20 here and there.

Be realistic. Without Bumrah even 200-220 will be chased, possibly comfortably. India only have 2 proper bowlers left. 1st innings Australia were 39/4 with Bumrah in operation. Australia still managed 180.

Without Bumrah and a bowler short there's no way Australia will be 4 down for a low score. Then the same 2 pacers will have to bowl more and more spells exhausting themselves and allowing 200-220 to be chased. 240-250 is what India needed to have a fair chance.

This test is as good as over as it stands. Anybody who disagrees is being pessimistic and imagining the worst.

Bumrah may come back and bowl a few overs but do you seriously believe he will bowl at 138-140 ks again? At 125-128 km/hr he will be cannon fodder as we have seen a few times already.
