This has been really soft batting. It's not been an easy wicket and India have bowled well but other than Marnus and maybe Smith most of them got out to really ordinary shots, and with Bumrah out we should've been targeting a fair lead, rather than a slight deficit.

They may have just updated their interpretation of stumps to mean including the bails
They have this is their definitions section, which clearly says the stumps and the bails are different and both combined are the wickets.

The last word of 3.4.6.2 should have been changed to "wickets" - that's probably what they voted on but then no-one actually made the edit.

Still would have a decent lead had we caught as well as India have today

The Slug needs to get a wriggle on if he wants to get a ton, Lyon and Boland aren't complete bunnies but I can't see them lasting long on this pitch.

Yeah true, if we had gotten India out for 120 or so which with good catching we probably would've gotten a 60-70 run lead which is plenty on this wicket.

If Bumrah isn't fit to bowl in the second innings (which looks likely) I think Australia would be able to handle the batting better second dig but I would not want to chase more than about 180 or so in the fourth dig.

Frustrating but Webster had to go for it in that case. Lyon and Boland probably weren't going to score many runs.

Man India have caught well. Really is the difference in this game, not only have they not dropped any (AFAIK), they've taken a couple of screamers too. We took some decent catches but dropped a couple of easy ones too.

Rohit had KL at covers last game for some ****ing reason.
Yup, seems that the cordon is designated by seniority or favor and not aptitude.
In any event the last two catches were out of the top drawer.

That last one was something special though. Brilliant
