You would be surprised to know how many people in India think that Akram is a better test bowler than McGrath or Marshall & of course I'm talking about the casual fans not the hardcore ones.
Obviously I'm not surprised. I have a doctorate in general people consensus.

And you know what, I'm from a country which is actually a part of India without it's people realizing it's a part of India.

Not to early actually. I'm sure, if ENG remains the test spammer they are now, both of them will get 600 wickets.

Broad is too lucky-
1) to have a cute face.
2) to be born in ENG.
Let's just suppose they both are just as good as Marshall but they will still need to maintain their fitness to even get close to 600 wickets and no one knows what an injury will do to a player. You could maybe end up like Waqar after injury or comeback as even a better bowler like Bumrah is doing.

I don't like any of these.

Just curious. Do you rate Harvey ahead of May?
about equal, will take May on a wet pitch or a greentop and Harvey on a seamy road. overall, maybe May as he was far better at home and was better in Australia than Harvey was in England, Harvey has superior output in Windies and SA of the places they toured.

Only people who don't watch matches of team not named India will say that..
I definitely think he's had the toughest conditions of the lot, and I rated his peak higher than Smith's (which is a very unorthodox opinion here), but even accounting for that and for the fact that I think Kohli end up having a longer career than Smith by a bit, I don't think it really compensates for the now-massive gap in averages between Smith and Kohli anymore.

And that's without even going into Root, who is my least favourite of the fab four but probably has the best case under my stated methodology for being the best now.

Or maybe bowl so slow that you're basically a spinner (except you don't spin the ball) and therefore, don't face the risk of injury.

If Root crosses Sachin's record of 15921 runs, (which he definitely will) Root will end up getting rated 2nd best of the fab 4 in IND. Obviously Kohli will be rated 1st.

tbh does it even matter if his home conditions are ultra difficult when they became difficult (2020-21) after he was already finished?
