I think this would be a good line of argument if the deflection was pretty subtle and minor but it was massive. You don't really need anything beyond the first replay to tell. Honestly it took me by surprise just how big it was based on the discussion about it on radio.

Like I can understand the process complaint (and very much understand it in the Perth Rahul dismissal) but ultimately it's telling that no one actually is claiming he didn't hit it. He very obviously hit it.
i have no issue with the umpire giving jaiswal out due to eye test but why wasnt this the case with rahul in 1st test if it is what matters the most

Nicholas was asked by the host if Jaiswal's drops had a big impact on the result. Nicholas said yes (which is obviously correct). Manjrekar then interrupted unprompted and ranted about why they're talking about Jaiswal's catches when he's batted well both innings and not saying a word about two senior batsmen not contributing anything. Nicholas got a bit mad too and said he was just answering a question. Most fun I've had watching today atleast.

Manjrekar is a fool by choice, who wears his ignorance as a crown.

The biggest issue with the team this series is the lack of pace bowling support alongside Bumrah. We can't keep going into Tests where you don't have the same quality of pacers to match the opposition with less of them. At the very least the 4th pacer could've saved Bumrah and Siraj from being overbowled given Reddy is basically a part-timer at the moment and the spinners in this series haven't been as impactful in the early parts of the Tests.
At the moment imo Reddy Bowling is under rated and batting is over rated ( strictly going by his domestic career)

I'm Indian background and support India in this series.
This is a third world garbage mentality. Pathetic really.

Have to look at Indian team's flaws in a situation like this. They gave Aus this match with multiple **** ups
Agree with the team's flaws and incapacity. This is a pathetic side. Bowling and batting wise. And nothing with mentality dear kid. Sledging is garbage in 2024. You sledge when you don't have talent. Some mentally weak fall for it. Understand that collapse in the last session started and continued with typical Aussie Sledge. Hope you understand

I guess I was wrong about the fight in the team though. Its clear they do have that moxie to fight but they just dont have good strategy or tactics around them to show that. I suppose I should soften my stance about the lack of fighting spirit in the team, they do try hard when they are down, they are just let down by really bad captaincy and players not in form or past it.
Fighting spirit is a curious thing tbh. People always take it to mean "try really really really hard and show maximum emotional intensity" but often the worst thing you can do is try too hard and forget to stay calm and patient and trust in the fundamentals of whatever you're trying to do. Rohit is very obviously guilty of this to me.

Well tbh in that case I agree, that shouldn't have been given out and said so at the time.

I think we really need a clear technical explanation of how Snicko works at some point. I think I have an idea of how it works and why it would be far more suited to picking up little nicks and edges than the ball running off the face of the bat like what happened to Jaiswal, but until it's explained we won't be sure.

dude relax. They won the games fair and square. And dont take out our flaws and issues on Australians. What they did in the past is of no consequence during this series. All Indians fans are disappointed but its just poor form esp as this forum has mostly genial and neutral posters from all countries. Let it go. One post was understandable in the frustration of the moment but you cant go doubling down on these takes. Chill bro. 🤗

i am mostly upset about the fact that this bunch of assholes are leading bumrah to a series loss after all the hardwork he has done in this series

I've seen the Jaiswal wicket now and it's fairly uncontroversial to me, the only question being whether it hit both glove and face of the bat. Was Australia the last country to stop using hotspot and snick together? I never understood why this decision was made, maybe cost and time.

I know in my heart that if an Australian was dismissed caught with nothing showing up on snicko and it decided an Ashes series then the decision would be accepted with the utmost grace and with kind regards to all involved.
Tbf it would be if it deviated at the same hyperextension as Bumrah’s bowling arm as it passed the bat.

The main reason is probably cost but just as good a reason is that Hotspot typically adds more confusion than it resolves. It really struggles with fine edges (i.e. the ones you'd actually want to review)
