Highest 4th innings scores at MCG this century

282 - WI 2015 - lost
261 - Aus (vs Ind) 2018 - lost
251 - Pak 2009 - lost
240 - NZ 2019 - lost
237 - Pak 2023 - lost
231/2 - Aus (vs Eng) 2013 - Won
Ignores the games that didn't even get to a 4th innings because the pitch was so flat (think there was a couple at least)

I don't believe that? All arm guards likely touch the glove wrist band but I've never seen someone given out when it hits the armguard. Imagine if it hit just below the elbow and was given out...no chance as if so no-one would ever wear one
I had a post about this a couple of years ago. I swear growing up Richie Benaud used to say if you were wearing a sweat band, etc, you don't want it to be connected to the glove as it extends the length of the glove. this makes sense when you consider that you're only out if it hits the glove if the glove is on the bat, so an arm guard connected to the glove, which is connected to the bat.....

but I have no idea if it's actually true or if it's a wives tale

Big wicket for India, Siraj threw the bait out and Smith fished at it,

They need to get Head out cheaply again as he could take this match away from them in a hurry.

It’s out if the arm guard is touching the gloves wrist band at the time when the ball hits
Yeah it's basically "electric".

If it hits the bat it's bat. If it hits gear that's touching the bat it's bat. If it hits gear touching gear touching bat etc it's bat.

It's also why it's not our if you take your hand off the bat.
