Which current players are/will be ATGs?

sayon basak

International Vice-Captain
The thread asks who "will" be an ATG in the future.
Case-1:- Jadeja is an ATG already. So, he doesn't count.
Case-2:- He is not an ATG already. In that case, he has zero chance of becoming one in the remaining days of his career.

So, Don't think Jadeja is the answer either way.

Edit:- ok the thread asks are/will. Then Jadeja is fair imo.

But all time? That's a stretch.
Who are the candidates that would be above him? The best I've seen are Rhodes, Ponting, De Villiers, Glenn Phillips, Chris Jordan, and I wouldn't put any definitively above him.
Happy to leave it as 'elite fielder' to remove the controversy, it doesn't really change that his fielding is a huge asset.

Bumrah is easily the best Indian quick ever and is not even remotely close. The second pick pace bowler for an Indian AT XI would be Kapil Dev. I'm very ready to call him an ATG and one of the best quicks I've seen, only behind a few West Indians, South Africans and McGrath.

Quite a few Pakistanis too.

Didn't know you rate Bishop that highly. But fair enough.
He was basically the difference between the West Indies 92/93 and the West Indies 95. Very underrated bowler who would be considered more highly if he wasn't so injury prone or played for a different country.

If we're including Bishop, what are your thoughts on Bond? All time great for me, just didn't have enough matches to be counted.
