I doubt Younis would be able to deal with peak Malcolm Marshall and peak Waqar.

Yeah its not like Younis never played against quality fast bowling. I am pretty sure he would have still scored almost as many runs as he did now if he played in the 90's

He was top class. Unlucky with injuries and a poor setup.

It's not just peer review. He was statistically one of the best handful of batsmen in the world in the second half of the 80s and early 90s. Career average undersells his quality a bit.

If the G Smith vs Younis K poll is close, shouldn't this be close as well? Is G Smith rated higher than Crowe in CW?

Crowe seems to be rated a lot higher on CW than he is in other places tbh. He would lose comfortably to Sehwag and Hayden outside of CW.
