Ben Curran has been called up for Zimbabwe. A rare case of brothers playing for separate countries, the last one would be Darren and James Pattinson.

It was inevitable that after he declared for Zim Ben would dominate domestic cricket (3 hundreds so far). Even though he was an unspectacular county batsman he is too good for Zim FC cricket and will boost the Zim team.

It is lovely that one of Kevin Curran's sons will play for Zim. That family's success is another example of how much Zim has given to world cricket.

Good to see this is an actual Test series. Was expecting this to be a crappy lone Test.
I think calling two Tests a series is still a stretch but yeah I'm very glad it's actually two and not one. I did keep expecting the first Test to become more ODIs by the time it rolled around, but here we are!

Must say, the schedule for this series is almost identical to that of Pakistan's tour of South Africa. I wonder if that was intentional on the part of Zim/RSA.
Probably not as whatever viewership exists in Zimbabwe for broadcast rights would probably be keen on watching the SA series as well. Probably some Saffa cricket fans who would have liked to watch Zimbabwe play if it didn't conflict too.

Seems like they could have coordinated that better.

Will either of his two brothers join him? Sam’s England Test prospects aren’t looking particularly promising

Would be keen to watch some of this. Any idea if there’s going to be you tube coverage or similar? Though the time zone’s not going to be great for me, is it.

Yeah true that. Still I think a three-Test series against non-WTC nations is a bit too much to ask for - it certainly would've been a really long time since Zimbabwe played 3. Afghanistan can't have had too many multiple Test series!
