**Official** 2nd Test @Adelaide, 6th-10th December

That’s ridiculous, neither deserved a penalty wtf
Nah Siraj hundred precent deserved it tbh first for acting like a muppet and then lying Infront of the media like Tendulkar did back in 07/08

It was ludicrous that Head was penalised I agree with that point. Siraj started the **** show by instigating the whole thing with verbals and he himself should have been punished ideally by a 2 game ban

I wagered a lot on Australia in the second Test, and it worked out pretty well. I like India for the third test. I'm not sure if they will pull out with a win, but I put some money down on Jaiswal to score a century (at 7:1) and Gill to score runs as well. Though I did put down Kohli to score less than 30. So, let's see how bad I do. I don't have a great record overall but all my winnings are going right back into the next series of bets like a good little addict.

In all seriousness I don't think either deserved official penalties. Siraj should have been torn apart by his team-mates for his carry on though, in addition to the court of public opinion. It was embarrassing and you can't have that. But it shouldn't be against any rules IMO

I honestly think him hurling the ball at Marnus for (quite reasonably and in good time) pulling out of facing on that first evening was way worse than the send off
100%.
Also Siraj's history of ****is behaviour definitely doesn't help the perception of the send off. I doubt Head, or the public, would have reacted the way they did of it was someone else that did it

Its funny you think its only Starc. Lyon has always done it from what I have seen and the Aussie teams under S Waugh and Ponting both specialized at it, including McWarne. And not even for being frustrated at batsmen pulling out or anything. They just threw the ball at the batsman everytime someone made runs against them. I remember Bevan doing it early in an ODI innings where Lara made a 100 at the MCG. Lara told him exactly what he thought of that and then smashed Bichel for a few boundaries immediately.

And, like I said, to me the surprise was Head starting the verbal abuses for something as common as a bowler screaming after getting a batsman out. The Gayle incident is a good comparison coz that is how most batsmen handle it, including Head himself in the last test after he got out.

I honestly don't remember Lyon doing it that often, but I could be wrong. The main reason I remember Starc doing it a lot was because @Spikey complained about it all the time and it got Ben Stokes out once.

Still should be cracked down on. Words can't actually injure someone but a cricket ball being unexpectedly hurled at you from 15m away definitely can.

He did that at two injured batsmen battling for a draw at Sydney in the last BG series in Australia. The culture with how Aussies think they can get away with it every time is the real shitty part here. And has been for over 25 years.

What did Head say to start the verbal abuse? I know what he said at the end, but I have no idea what he said immediately after he got out. Didn't seem like much on TV.

That’s because he told Siraj off after the send off - which is the punishable offence and started by Siraj.

Who knows what Travis said after Siraj confronted him in his celebration. That is the difference hypocritebharani finds too inconvenient to concede. Compare that with Cummin’s celebrating one of his dismissals - he screamed but in the direction of team mates. Siraj though is a ****. He eyeballed and screamed at the batsman. It seemed Travis was just walking off and then surprised at the trash being directed at him. But we don’t know what he said: probably wtf. Then the send off followed and the rejoinder from Travis.

All good and dealt with. Except hb needs to spin it as poor bugger India innocent again.

Yeah for anyone who actually watches what happeneed and not dreaming what they wanted to happen... this is what happened.

Siraj screamed right at Head's face after getting him out.
Head told him to "**** off" and other colorful language.
Siraj shouted back and gestured him to go to the pavilion.
Head used more colorful language.

Or we can imagine the jingoistic nationalistic "aussie, aussie" tripe that seems to turn on tjb and tbb and think its the truth. :)

He said something like 'oh good ball'. He says whith a hand gesture while looking up at Siraj but by that time Mohommed was well in to his hissy fit instigating the whole thing

Of the last seven posts containing the phrase "biased drivel", four of them are you commenting on hb's usage of that phrase. Don't overdo it.
I don't have many phrases to choose from tbf

But anyway thanks for doing the research to confirm my suspicions. You are clearly a more experienced HB post expert than I
