**Official** England in New Zealand 28 Nov-18 Dec 2024 - 3 Tests

King Kane

International Regular
Carse getting the big dog and there isn't a no ball to save him this time, now we need nightwatchman O'Rourke to save us from further damage.

There's plenty in this pitch from what I've been able to watch so far. Pace and bounce and seam movement. Feel like England night be a bit over par with 280

Definitely.
Perhaps a new batting coach is needed. Are the bulk of these players making progress with Ronchi in the role? KW can coach himself, most of the rest seem to be going backwards, and Conway and Blundell have fallen off a cliff.
I've said before that I can't understand why Ronchi is our batting coach, he has never been a test batsman or even a good Sheffield Shield batsman.

He is an ODI/T20 slogger, I don't know what he can teach any of our test batsmen apart from bad habits.

Blundell is squaring himself up horribly here. Being a good player of pace was always his thing but he looks totally out of sorts

I have more faith in O'Rourke surviving than our batsmen, he knows how to block and how to leave something our batsmen are struggling with.

International Debutant
take Wil out today, wrap them up tommorrow by 150-180, take that hundred lead and give them a 500+ target for the chase
