England in New Zealand 28 Nov-18 Dec 2024 - 3 Tests

I was just about to say that Conway is looking better and then he does that.

He gets out chipping catches on the onside too often for it to be bad luck, it's a big flaw.

I don't know if I've ever seen a test match so well and truly gift-wrapped for an away side.

England have not had to work hard for wickets or scrap hard with the bat. We've just given them wickets for free and then dropped dollies the whole test.

Captain obvious says this is the key partnership. One of these two needs a big hundred for NZ to set any sort of competitive target, plus some support from Mitchell and Phillips.

England very close to closing out the match if they dismiss one more tonight.

Conway is surely a chance to get dropped for Young for the next test.

His form has dropped off as badly as Labuschagne who also deserves to be dropped but won't be as Australia don't have a decent back up like Young.

Yeah well...I just don't think we're that good anymore. KW obviously still stingy with his wicket, but when you look at the current guys compared to the team when they won the WTC - Taylor, Watling, even Nicholls for all his flaws, they all knew how to put a price on their wicket and offer the opposition nothing. They current bunch just don't seem nearly as mentally strong, and just look way more prone to making unforced errors. It's really not a surprise when we make underpar totals on good decks. Even SA D managed to roll us for 200 last summer.

Is Conway this generation's Sinclair? Start with a bang, fade to grey...
Seemed to coincide with him getting set at Chennai and becoming an in-demand T20 pro. He’s gone from the hungry bloke keen to prove himself to someone who probably always has one eye on where his bread & butter is.
