England in New Zealand 28 Nov-18 Dec 2024 - 3 Tests

Howsie

International Captain
Can we keep a dropped catch counter going in this thread for the series. That’s 3 so far. That’s probably a test worth in 40 overs 😏

Good work by Brook and Pope here, Brook making some tough runs is appreciated as that was his criticism in Pakistan, good to see our tactic for batting extended beyond "let's hope Root makes a 100" for once.

Not much more to be said about the team's declining fielding standards. Gone from probably the most reliable set of hands in the world, to distinctly middle of the pack, maybe even bottom third.

Phillips and Mitchell just straight up not knowing how to catch really hurts, especially since Mitchell fields in slips.

No demons in the pitch, Crawley and Duckett just can't stop throwing their wickets away, it's been a good run with Crawley but maybe it's time to part ways, Bethall at 3... Don't really need to say much, Root seems to have completely misread the speed of the ball, happens sometimes, he'll probably score in the next inning or match.

Anyway, probably need one of these guys to go absolutely big here.
