How tf was this bloke left out v the Aussies last summer? He's completely lost his run-up and he's still scything through.
Sure am glad we wheeled out dead Southee, dead Wagner, Kuggeleijn and Tickner past 3 years while O'Rourke, Sears and this guy exist.

You can't have watched this morning (or the India series) if you don't still think that Southee is still one of our best 4 pace bowlers.

Maybe last couple of seasons he's been off it but this season I'm really not seeing a qualitative difference between current Southee and career Southee.

England bombing their best opportunity to win in NZ will be another painful chapter for Bazball if they don't win this series. Wish my name on here wasn't Bazball. They haven't done particularly well.

Smith looks good but I have a feeling he would be absolute food in Australia.

Not tall enough or fast enough for his "heavy" ball to be anything other than sitting up and smashed all day.

Relies on movement in the air and off the pitch.

I think the difference is that he's slower now.

I read your posts and think old Freddie would be incandescent with how test match cricket is played by England
