Rachin lurches forward to play a hard handed cover drive firat ball. Not banking on him making any runs here. Lot of pressure on KW to make a score.

England cricket are an absolute joke still picking Chris Woakes away from home. The odd 25 never justified 2-150 but there isn't any need whatsoever when Atkinson is arguably a better batsman than him nowadays and Carse is a very good no9. An unserious organisation.
Carse, a fully-fledged all-rounder for Durham, at #10 is funny. There’s no real need for Woakes’ batting if we’re going to have 7 genuine batters in the team plus Atkinson and Carse, the selectors must think that New Zealand is basically the same as England but on the other side of the planet

true, i was under the impression england picked him as that "point of difference" in regards to pace

wood and archer still in their own league for that category i guess
Stone is definitely faster too, TBH, His injuries have taken pace off him, but he's improved as a bat, so swings and roundabouts.

Carse is quick enough at 135 - low 140's. That's Bumrah/Cummins pace.
He's always been consistent 85mph+, just wayward when he's bowling it.

Most who watch him regularly at Durham would agree we didn't think he'd be international standard. Not quite to same extent as @Prince EWS Carse is arse view mind.

But it's clear that Stokes has long thought he was what he wanted at this level. A previous setup wouldn't have championed him at all, with his betting ban last year even more so.
