Took 12 wicket in 3 tests @ 22.5 average in Pakistan. Is Cummins an ATG? His home record is outstanding, but I don't think he's had many fantastic away series and his overall away numbers are just ehh.
Too good for a hit the deck seam bowler.

Dravid/Ponting were averaging 58-59 before their declines after 100+ tests. Root needs to have a good few years to maintain that average at a high enough level. Dravid/Ponting's era was significantly easier for sure, but what hurts Root's record is that he's never had an extended purple patch where he dominates for 4-5 years on the trot to pump up those numbers. I agree he's almost as good as them quality wise though.Root has to be an ATG doesn't he? Only hole in his record is his profile in Australia, and unless he falls off a cliff he should end up with as many runs as Dravid/Ponting at a similar overall average despite playing more of his cricket in a harder batting era than the other two.
Yea he’s in the tier below with like Inzamam and Chanderpaul.Dravid/Ponting were averaging 58-59 before their declines after 100+ tests. Depends on how he ends his career really, if he declines, that record could take a beating. His average is sub 50 even now.
Nah he's easily better than those guys even if his average ends up lowerYea he’s in the tier below with like Inzamam and Chanderpaul.
Inzamam and Chanderpaul had serious flaws IMO. Innzy's poor running between wickets - I'd love to know how many run outs he was involved in and how many quick singles he missed. Chanderpaul batted too low in a pretty weak side. 73.9% of his innings were at # 5 or lower. This gave him an unusual number of not outs (17.5% of his knocks) for a top batsman.Yea he’s in the tier below with like Inzamam and Chanderpaul.
There's not really a lot of debate about either dravid or ponting being ATG's is there? The closest thing i've seen to that on here is whether there in that "best since bradman" category along with lara and sachin or just ATG'S.Dravid/Ponting were averaging 58-59 before their declines after 100+ tests. Jadeja as an AR does, maybe not as a bowler.Smith is the only guaranteed current ATG. Bumrah seems almost a guarantee the way he's going. Cummins and Rabada should end up there too.
Root is on the edge for me, a good Ashes tour would definitely seal his place.
Ashwin and Anderson do also have a case, more so for Ashwin because of his batting, but I don't have either one in.
Jadeja, Kohli, Shakib, Williamson etc don't make it for me
Bumarah fingers crossedSmith is the only guaranteed current ATG. Bumrah seems almost a guarantee the way he's going. Cummins and Rabada should end up there too.

Smith is literally the only one.Bumarah fingers crossed
Cummins and rabada will
Ashwin and jimmy aren't atgs
Kohli would have been if he continued his 2019 from
Root is assured if he does well in ashes is bonus
Kane is great but unfortunatly be it due to injuries or something else didnt perform against 4 best attacks in his generation ( aus ind eng and sa)
Jadeja is great not atg
Smith is till now is only bonifide atg
Hopefully pant jaiswal kamindu brook and rachin will achive
Think him and Rabada will be second tier ATGs with the likes of Waqar due to slightly more modest (but still good) away records (25-26 average) compared to their home records.Took 12 wicket in 3 tests @ 22.5 average in Pakistan.

Cummin, Rabada will most likely end up as 2nd tier ATGs (Waqar, Walsh).Smith is literally the only one.
Bumrah has the best chance if he maintains this for a bit longer.
Cummins, Rabada, Root may most likely remain on the periphery.
2nd tier though. His away/neutral average is 26+.Cummins would be atg
Well I don't rate Walsh or Waqar ATGs eitherCummin, Rabada will most likely end up as 2nd tier ATGs (Waqar, Walsh).
Root too on the 2nd tier with Sanga, Dravid etc.
Smith is 1st tier alongside Sachin, Lara etc.
Bumrah if he gets to 300 at a same average - he's also tier 1 with the likes of McGrath, Steyn, Marshall etc.
Aah ok. Fair enough. What you define as ATGs I consider "GOAT contenders" ie if you say that this person was the best of all time, you could make a credible argument for it.Well I don't rate Walsh or Waqar ATGs either
Will do well in india and sl from next tour. England is different english pitches since bazball are flat and 27 is good nz can improve2nd tier though. His away/neutral average is 26+.
Averages 29.83 in Asia even with that Pak series. 29 in Bang, 32.81 in Ind, 60 in SL.
27.17 in Eng and 28.33 in NZ.
