Cricketer Of The Year
Sometimes Rahul almost makes me forget how **** he usually is when he plays such dreamy shots........ Keyword "almost"
Kohli also dropped marnus and cost india 2 runs. Could have bowled Australia out for 102 if he caught marnus.are we sure? Smith made 0 and Kohli made 5
His biggest asset was his control of length which made him such a sustained threat over long spells. That's not as good now. He gives hit-me balls once every two overs or so on avg. A slight drop in pace hasn't helped either; don't think he's hurried anybody even on this wicket.Nah he's actually pretty spot on. Since the end of the second test in that ashes cummins has played 12 tests (including this one) and averaged 27, compared to 22 before that. He's not been horrible, but he's gone from rivalling McGrath to a kemar roach tier bowler (purely on average).
Yeah he hit a 100 in the recent SA series as well.Rahul's such a weird player. He's a subcontinent batsmen but I feel like he's at his best opening outside of Asia. Did well in ENG in 21/22, made that brilliant century second last time india toured SA, and has looked good here aswell. Think he got runs in the middle order in the more recent SA series aswell.
He'd be very disappointed averaging 35 the way he's looked so far. Could/has to be India's MVP.Yeah he hit a 100 in the recent SA series as well.
Think if he has a 35 averaging series with 3 50's this series, it would be very good.
If both Kohli and Rohit have that output it would hold India in good stead in this series.
I expect all pitches except Sydney to be super seam friendly though. He'd be very disappointed averaging 35 the way he's looked so far. Could/has to be India's MVP.
Thing is this Indian team is more like 2014/15 (young team post-transition) compared to 2011/12 (old team pre-transition).I know a lot of Indians were worried this was going to be their 2011/12 all over again.
Instead this looks like 2010/11 for Australia (although in that series it was both bowling and batting that went belly up - this is mostly a batting failure).
Yeah it'd be the closest NZ got to feeling like they won a series in Australia since 1986.BC’s thrash India in India, then India do Aussie like a dinner in Australia:….would make 2024 truly one of the most wonderful years in living memory.
