I don't think the Aus side has too many scars. I just think it's batting is very iffy atm. If Marnus has a good series I think Aus will win pretty handily because Smith, Head, Marsh & Carey are then likely to be shielded from the new rock. The fact Marnus has been pish for over a year makes Aus particularly vulnerable imo.

Will be interested in Usman's form too. Age comes at you fast in sport.

That was in 1977 at an entirely different ground. I mean, Geoff Dymock took 7/70 in Kanpur in 1979, but I don't think that means we should definitely play a left arm swing bowler there next time around for that reason.

Dont care about wtc now but dont rule out india too soon. We generally do well when no one gives us a chance flop when we are regerded favorites bewere aussies!

This series feels like it's going to be one big Gambhir-off. India think their side sucks because of recent form, Australia thinks their side is vulnerable and have too many scars.

A disturbing recent trend, since last year at the WC finals, has been how India keep getting beaten by players that I back from the other sides. It was Head and Marnus in the WC final, it was the CSK boys from NZ last month in the test series. If this trend keeps up, it will again be Marnus, Head, Carey, Hazlewood beating us black and blue this series.

Really tough one. As Nathan Lyon once said, I hope we see a few careers come to an end (his would be nice for one) as I fancy what comes behind (especially for Aus) is not that strong with a nod to England's opposition next year.

I suspect my allegiances will alter along the way, but I'd probably just lean towards India at the moment.

Yeah he is. Cummins has said as much himself. He's not the best bowler but he's the most important because he bowls so many long and economical spells for them.
