It says fast bowling so I assume it's not general pace bowling. Lara is obviously better against medium pace.

This.
Fast bowling doesn't necessarily mean akhtar, Lee or peak Donald level pace. Most ATG pacers such as Hadlee, McGrath, Akram etc didn't bowl 150 kmph + consistently, and Lara played most of them beautifully.
Lara struggled against express pace even holding was critical of him but was greatest against spin tho

He did struggle against express pace a bit. But my point is express pace isn't the only metric while discussing pace bowling. How u tackle seam, swing and bounce and your record against ATG pace attacks also plays a part
Ya. The number of good express bowlers is absolutely tiny. Unless the intention is to measure quality against express specifically, it shouldn't count for much.

In the same way, your record against poor/mediocre/good bowling is a lot more important than your record against great bowling. I'm not sure which of the two was better against top quality pace. But Lara was definitely better against the levels below.

Lara and I'm so happy for those who understand that the question says "pace" bowling not express, which means medium, fast medium and the whole lot should be included. In that respect, it's BCL. But I wouldn't say easily, because ABD was also a class player.

Highlights how special AB was against the really fast guys(though assuming in this thread, the comparison takes medium pacers as relevant, I’ll take Lara overall).
