Yeah but it's the hype that goes with it. You win an Ashes, especially if you perform in it, you're a demi-god in either country. If you win a Border-Gavaskar, the CW nerds will fawn over you, but the media/public not as much. Why tho? They could win the home-leg of the Ashes if they subbed out their regulars for kids from the local blind school. They haven't won a series v India since god knows when.
But you asked what do Australian fans think...Ashes is very overrated . quality wise BGT is way ahead than any series
Yep, in terms of difficulty, no doubt. But as I said, if I'm given the option to win a BGT or an Ashes away win, and only one of those, I'm taking two months of sticking up the English media's ****ing arse.Ashes is very overrated . quality wise BGT is way ahead than any series
Ha, missed that part. I'll support Australia over my cold, dead body.Good to see so many closet Australian supporters outing themselves by buying into the discussion here.
Yes i respect australian fan view . Its their choice to choose but from only cricket point of view BGT has surpass ashes .But you asked what do Australian fans think...
No it hasn'tYes i respect australian fan view . Its their choice to choose but from only cricket point of view BGT has surpass ashes .
Or there are a lot of Indians living in LondonGiven the prices for Lord's Tickets next year, it seems certain English institutions think the Pataudi Trophy is bigger than the Ashes.
There's a lot of Aussies in London too, but their demographic generally don't have £175 spare for a day at the cricket!!Or there are a lot of Indians living in London
How much do the bar staff at Walkabout get paid these days? There's a lot of Aussies in London too, but their demographic generally don't have £175 spare for a day at the cricket!!
Having said that, a colleague of mine is going to the ODI today which is £120.....crazy!!
Wait, aren’t you all members? What’s wrong with you guys?Given the prices for Lord's Tickets next year, it seems certain English institutions think the Pataudi Trophy is bigger than the Ashes.
The BG has only become interesting since 2018 when India got real fast bowlers tbf. Before that the home sides just won all the time.Yes i respect australian fan view . Its their choice to choose but from only cricket point of view BGT has surpass ashes .
About the same as the bar staff at North Bondi RSL tbhHow much do the bar staff at Walkabout get paid these days?
Quite ironic given that England and India have both won away series in each other's country and Down Under since the Aussies experienced similar success.the tix are presumably more expensive for the India series because England has a chance of winning it, unlike the Ashes.
AshesThis is for Australian fans what they will choose right now .a series win against india or England?
!!Having said that, a colleague of mine is going to the ODI today which is £120.....crazy!!
Boom boom good oneThey charge so much to go to the cricket there because the real value is it gets you away from the streets of England for a few hours
