Eh, not totally sold on Pant yet, though never being into a Rohit-captain fan. Also don't think there is any point in Virat returning to captaincy again..... So overall, not sure about the future captain, or even who should lead currently.

Bumrah is the obvious choice but unfortunately he needs to be rested once in a while. None of the other batsmen have really nailed their spots down other than Pant and Jaiswal.

Pant is only one who is confirmed place and is best batsman of team. Bumrah cant play every test

As captain:

25 matches 45 innings 1736 @ 44.51 4 tons 10 fifties

not captain:

16 matches 24 innings 1824 @ 91.20 5 tons 9 fifties

(including icc would make it drop to 83.95)

and a reverse
