Yeah, they're horrendous. And of course, by the time the next Ashes rolls around it will be 14 years since England has won a single test in Australia. They like to remind everyone Australia hasn't won a series in England since 2001 but seem to overlook the inconvenient fact that you need to win individual tests before you can win a series.

They're not really capable of critical thought over there. Sad.

If you lose, then of course they're in vain. Every effort in a losing cause is in vain.

Just as if you can't win a single test in a country, your efforts there are in vain.

To think otherwise explains the longstanding acceptance of mediocrity in English and Welsh cricket.

If you can't get out of first gear, you shouldn't be having a crack at someone who's stuck in third but crosses the line a mile ahead of you. It's bizarre and embarrassing.

Like, if India draws the next 2 series out here but bagel us over there in 3 series in a row, you won't find Australian supporters pointing the finger at them, because they'll hold the trophy. If the Australian supporters did point the finger at them you'd rightly say they had a cerebral defect, just as I'm rightly saying the English and Welsh do on this point (and most others tbf).

Hmm, but Aus haven't won a series in India or England in 20 years - it'll be well over that next time they get a go at it. And the concern must be that some pretty decent players like Smith, Cummins, Lyon, Starc, Khawaja etc will soon retire. If you can't win with them, what chance without?

Aus won at least one Test in both England and India on their last tours

They’d genuinely love to have Crawley or Duckett slot in for them when Khawaja rides off into the sunset lol

Also Bazball is on its last legs now. Stokes won't last another season with his knee issues and it gets abundantly clear each day that pope is not up for it. Pope does not have the same aggressive/ violent nature of Ben stokes to keep the bazball going and McCullum will be exposed for the fraud he is afterwards.
