Why would Australia play two spinners anywhere other than scg and subcontinent?
if jadeja played for Australia at the same time as lyon, then he'd have played over 100 tests, as would have lyon.
Yeah its hard to tell though, considering Jadeja’s only played at the SCG and MCG.Yeah, but I also think they may have played Jaddu a lot more in Australia than Lyon.
To answer this seriously, the fact that Starc and Cummins #canbat makes this tricky. If they had 3 Hazlewood level batters, then Jaddu plays everytime over Lyon if they play only one spinner.
Not so sure about Aussie batting really. There no 6/7 always seems just alright and Jadeja can be a better bat than most of them. I mean, is Marsh really a better enough player anywhere? Does his bowling really is more impactful in a fast pitch? I highly doubt that.Yeah its hard to tell though, considering Jadeja’s only played at the SCG and MCG.
Plus I mean Australia’s batting is already ridiculous at home, they might find the batting advantage superfluous. I think it would depend also on who had established themselves in the team first. (assuming in this case it would play out normally that would be Lyon)
Might depend if Jadeja can score triples in the Shield. Not so sure about Aussie batting really. There no 6/7 always seems just alright and Jadeja can be a better bat than most of them. Given the batting record of most batsmen in Shield and Jadeja scoring 3 in Ranji; I am leaning towards yes here.Might depend if Jadeja can score triples in the Shield.
Yup. Jadeja wouldn't be fitted in a specialist spot.Don't think it would have affected Lyons career too much, I think Jadeja would have been played as an all rounder in place of Mitchell Marsh
That would also give them the option of playing Jadeja at 6 or 7 plus 4 specialist pacersTo answer this seriously, the fact that Starc and Cummins #canbat makes this tricky. If they had 3 Hazlewood level batters, then Jaddu plays everytime over Lyon if they play only one spinner.
Michael Nesser could potentially have a decent career, as a pretty reliable no 8 to a long tail. That would also give them the option of playing Jadeja at 6 or 7 plus 4 specialist pacers
