This I do agree. However Sehwag was the best player of spin in the history of cricket. That is why Viv is a better batsman than Sehwag. However on given conditions - which may be extremely difficult - Sehwag plays as destructive as if not more than Viv.I am in no way comparing both innings. But I am saying Richards was a good player of spin, whilst being one of the best ever players of pace. Sehwag was one of the best ever players of spin. But he was downright poor against pace in non flat pitches. Viv had no such weakness
In this whole conversation we are forgetting Gilchrist. He has some weakness against quality spin, but was one of the best against pace. It needed ridiculously brilliant deliveries from pacers to get rid of him.
