Superb captaincy by Markram, 9 of the 11 overs bowled by Nortje, Jansen and Rabada..Not worrying about rotation when the opponent is on the mat.

He played in the series in Jamaica against us...bowled 6 overs and conceded 73 runs with 0 wickets to show. Definitely earned the criticisms.

A couple of those umpire's call ones were marginal, but this one looks stone-cold dead.

It'll be a lot of fun if Afghanistan make a good first of defending this, but realistically they've scored less than half of what they needed.

While you can't say enough good things about their bowling attack because it is world class, their batting really is quite atrocious.
The way they batted in such an important game against Bangladesh leaves me in not much doubt they'll suck even more in a match that will
produce even more pressure than the last game.
Hopefully they'll prove me wrong, but really thinking that Nortje and Rabada will gobble them up for breakfast.

That's a woeful batting effort from Afghanistan even with a pitch that is tough to bat on, they haven't even given their bowlers a chance of winning it.

That was always the danger with a team like Afghanistan making the semis, at least the final should be more competitive with South Africa making it.
