Match #6- England vs Scotland - June 4th - Kensington Oval, Barbados-- Group B

Surprised less annoyed people?

They call off a game with 7+ hours left to play it when by all accounts weather improved.

Why they playing games at 10am anyway. Pathetic just to pander to a TV market, rather than making it what is supposed to be the showpiece short format tournament and not crap like IPL, Hundred and BBL.

Which they are more than happy to bend over backwards to accommodate these in the calendar and try to find time to make them completed, when the weather is about.

Yeah, it seems utterly bizarre that this game is scheduled to be most favourable to South Asian TV times. You can understand start times for Asian teams being for their peak viewing audience but not for two non-Asian teams.

We haven't tackled the rain issue in cricket, we are still relying on terrible rules that does not put cricket in a good light to a global audience..

There has to be some form of proactivity in anticipation of bad weather , we have weather reports that can reasonably predict when rain will fall at its heaviest during a particular day..
The day before a game is played it can easily be agreed for a T20 match time to be either brought forward or moved to a later time, if the game is still rained off and its not possible for a reserve day then fair enough atleast there was an effort made to get the game played.

Can't wait for the 2028 T20 WC in Aus/NZ when games in NZ start at 3AM NZT to be a good viewing time in India.
