A Pakistan attack of:

SSA
Imad
Naseem Shah
x
Genuine leggie (not Shahdab)

May be up there. But an incisive 3rd seamer and a wicket taking spinner are crucial.
Imad Wasim is a genuine wicket taker in this format. What you're describing is a unicorn attack that has never existed so of course it sounds like an upgrade on Pakistan's attack. No team is ever going to have 2 genuine frontline spinners as well as 3 incisive pacers. Rauf is one of the best in the world at what he does, Amir and Naseem stem runs well and then you have Shaheen. Iftikhar, Saim and Shadab can combine to be the fifth bowler which is good enough.
Don't Pak pick the Harry Potter lookalike for T20s? Obviously a better bowling option than Shadab.
In the squad. Hope he plays the next match.

Teams have had 3 incisive pacers - maybe not 3 greats but bowlers who offer some threat.

On the game, this is the worst batting I have seen in ages. 13/2 after in the 4th over. School teams are more assured.

I was going to say why doesn't Zaman open because he's the most visibly belligerent of Pakistani bats. But then I went and looked at his and the rest's career SRs, and noone's going at > 128? That's not enough in this brave new age. You need at least one berserker in the top 4.

No one said Imad didn't offer value. The issue is Shahdab. He must go, and an attacking spinner brought in to replace him. That would be a fine attack. So Naseem in (which must be likely), and fix the Shahdab issue.

The 3rd seamer - Amir, or Rauf or x is open to debate. I get the case for Rauf whatever his drawbacks.

Yes, Shadab is a problem but there are 4 quality bowlers besides him and Pakistan do have a back up in Abrar. That's a pretty great attack with no weak links.
Rauf >>> Archer

Not quite sure Rauf > Archer just yet.
Rauf is a proven world class player in T20s and can actually make it to the park most of the time. He's not great in the longer formats but surely one of the best in T20s.

This is an insane kneejerk reaction to one bad spell, lol. Shadab isn't playing as a frontline, attacking spinner. He's a floating spin hitter with the bat who keeps the runs down and takes fairly consistent wickets with the ball. From what I can tell, your ideal lineup has imad at 7 with 4 specialist bowlers or maybe a #8 who bats a bit? Pakistan have already copped a ton of flack for playing too defensive and it seems like the game is moving away from that style of play. Dropping shadab for any specialist attacking spinner means babar and rizwan have an excuse to go slower because "they don't bat deep enough", and also gets rid of one of pakistan's most dangerous weapons vs spin in the middle overs with the bat, which is already there worst area in t20's and where they lost the recent game to ireland.

He's just bad. I wish him well but right now he offers nothing.

Excellent comeback from Archer after that first over.
Was indeed, he's said his next major injury is probably his last, so a lot on this comeback for his career.

Jordan doing okay here, not sure it's good for England in the long run. Bowling well against Pakistan tail-enders. rather if it's top bats from Saffies, India and the like.

For someone that hasn't watched a minute how is Imad Wasim Cricinfo MVP.

Stattos need to have a look at themselves.
