Am in 1st in Youth 1.1 with 3 rounds to go (ahead on NRR). Playing the guy who is equal first with me at the moment. He was losing 3-4 players after last week's game, so I thought I was in with a good shot. I recruited an all-rounder that is accomplished/expert/expert to fill a hole left by a few departures myself, but am mainly relying on younger recruitments and youth pulls to get me to the end of the season. He bought up over the past week and filled most of the gaps in his team. Hilariously, one of the players he bought was only eligible for Youth teams for 1 more week and then went on tour with their National under 20 team this week, so he won't get to use them. I assume this is a mistake and not some calculated purchase for his senior team.

We batted first and scored 194 on an uneven deck, which I would have taken at the beginning of the day. Whether or not we can bowl them out for less than that is questionable, but hopefully we pull off a miracle.

3 way tie for first in my youth division. Will be interesting to see how the last few rounds play out. But my guys def aren't division 2 material as we've lost about 5 to 6 good players in the last 14 weeks and need to rebuild

We lost by 3 wickets in the end. We didn't really though...they were cruising and then lost 3 in a clump with about 15 runs to get. We were never really a threat. Hopefully they can lose a game out of the last 2, and we can get over the top of them on NRR. They lose two of the players they have just bought again this week, and another next week, but they might be planning on bringing in decent 20 year olds to get them home. Part of me thinks maybe we should have done the same, but then we are pretty well-positioned for next season at the moment with some cash in the bank.

BARNES OUT
How do I train this fella? I've been training all youths to capable fielding first but from there do I just put him on AR training? I know nothing about this game really.

Fielding to capable minimum, preferably reliable. If you get a tech pop in that time go straight to AR training. If not, bowl tech until tech is reas then AR. Each time bat pops switch to bowl tech again until caught up. Given no training talent probably go reliable or accomplished batting then bowling pure.

No such thing as a batting AR in this game. Every AR needs to be able to hold their own as one of the 5 bowlers, simply a question of how high you can get their batting while still achieving that.

Last youth game today, at he start of play there were three teams with 9 wins and 4 losses, with me in the middle with a slightly lower NRR.

In a deciding round, 1st played 4th, and 2nd (me) played 3rd. The equation being fairly obvious - if I win I''d need to do it quicker (?) than 1st to jump on NRR to 1st position.

4th place team came through and hammered the team in number 1 position, meaning whoever won our game would be the title champs. We posted a modest 200 odd from the 40. But we scraped in in the end.

My main team ended up 2nd in the Aus Youth 1.1 league. We hammered 3rd to lock ourselves in. We should've won again this season, but we somehow managed to lose to the bloke who came 2nd last halfway through the season (at which point he was last), despite outrating him by 12k.

My affiliate team is in 1st and is playing 3rd at the moment. If we win, we go up to Div. 2 in Scotland, and we currently have them @ 149/6 needing 87 off 6 overs, so unless FTP goes full FTP, we should do it.

Good start in youth for both my teams so far. They both have 2 wins from 2. My Scottish team is in Youth 2.2 this season, and they have beaten two teams with better ratings than them. It's nice to be on the other end of this for once.

Also bought this guy yesterday. He seems like he might make it as an all-rounder. Given the prices some people are putting on the players they are selling, I was reasonably happy to pay 170k for him.

I got a team just too late to set orders for the OD match that started a few minutes ago.

Playing against a team that's surprisingly not a bot. Batting first.

Mooo are bowled out for 230 in 45.1 overs.

Nathaniel Meggs top scoring with a run-a-ball 64 and opener Gregory Rogers with 63 off 79.

Let's see how we do in defending this target of 231.

I was 1st in Youth 1.1 before last week's game, and have tied and then lost games since then to two teams rated about 10k less.

Today we rattled off 230-ish on a green top batting first, and we could barely take a wicket in the chase. They got there 3 down...

Oh the joys.

Today, my captain Rudolph Narine was on fire, smashing an unbeaten 113 off 55 balls, decking his innings with 5 fours and 4 sixes. Orin Goodman was no slouch either, hammering 88 off 46 balls before he decided to play tag with the fielders and got himself out.
Together, they led us to a mammoth total of 238 for 2 in our quota of 20 overs. The opposition tried to chase down the mountain of runs but could only scrape together 178 for 6, making our defense of the target look as solid as a fortress.
