***Official*** IPL 2024

Can't believe Narine opening is still a thing in 2024.

Sunrisers look unbalanced as always, Hasaranga, Phillips and Head on the bench while still picking the same bang average Indians as always.
Shows that KKR have given this enough thought. He's a waste of the spot at the top of the order.
Sorry for the bump but did think he'd end up trolling after these comments.

Most likely 2 MOTM performances with the bat

How many more mental totals is the IPL going to bring?
more and more

Julian Wood made a remark about this that batsmen are finally turning into specialist hitters instead of being agricultural sloggers and boshers. when all of these hitters fire 250 plus should be easy to achieve with 1 extra batsman from the impact sub

Whatever it takes!!!
I think both the impact sub and the 2 bouncer rule should go. I quite like the 2 bouncer rule for the SMAT and even the VHT as it helps us sort out the domestic batsmen who can handle the short ball which is a bit of an inevitability for SC batsmen at the international stage.

But for the IPL, I think it is now forcing teams to load up on seamers and if we keep this going for too long, our batsmen are gonna suck even more against spin.

Ideally, they just let teams have injury subs play and leave the current 1 bouncer rule as it is. The other innovations around timings, 3rd umpire replay process etc. are really good and should continue.

Good that MI, RCB and DC are not winning games so they're now unlikely to make the playoffs, which means the players can leave for the T20 World Cup one week sooner (post-19th May instead of post-26th May)

MI-
Rohit
Sky
Pandya
Bumrah

DC-
Pant
Axar
Kuldeep

RCB-
Kohli
Siraj

Punjab-
Arshdeep
(Jitesh)

Thats already 10 players that could be leaving early. Plus there's expected to be at least 1 or even 2 more players joining that group since one or more of the following teams may not make it either- LSG, CSK or GT.

So we could have a situation where upto 11 or 12 of the 15 WC players getting to fly to USA around 20th May.

LSG- Mayank (possibly Rahul)
GT- Gill
CSK- Dube & Jadeja
RR- Jaiswal
KKR- Rinku
SRH- no one

Like to see SRH, RR, KKR, & GT in the final four.

Meanwhile, Rabada wants the 2 bouncers rule for internationals. Time’s a changing

That Rasikh looks useful too. Got some tap last night but slippery for his height.
