Finally watching my first game live on TV this IPL. Not sure GT have their strategy right.

I would ideally open with Sudharshan and Gill. If not, I will have Gill bat 3 as he has more shots and gets less stuck than SS at the start. Ideally, I would have them find a keeper who can bat in the middle order, maybe they can try Bharat for Saha at some point and see if SS and Gill can start well.

Saha sucks when he doesnt bat in the powerplay nowadays, his whole **** is based on clearing the infield and getting boundaries to give a good start. if he’s playing he has to bat as opener

I don't think Pathirana is ready for Internationals yet. The IPL is a better stage for him to learn and grow under a leader like Dhoni (even if he's not captain).
