Probs England just. Their batting superiority is pretty telling, and their bowling attack, whilst inferior, isn’t that bad.Aus ATG XI (without Bradman) vs WI ATG XI

Their top three is awesome. However, SA likely have lower order batting that Eng doesnt.Probs England just. Their batting superiority is pretty telling, and their bowling attack, whilst inferior, isn’t that bad.
England have a clear and strong adavantage in opening imo. I think SA's middle order is very competitive with England's though and clearly stronger if batting either Botham or a wk in the top six.Englands batting is clearly superior down to 7 tbh if Botham isn’t there.
tbh I’m still undecided as to whether I’d have Botham/Knott/Trueman/Laker/Barnes or Knott/Trueman/Laker/Barnes/Anderson.England have a clear and strong adavantage in opening imo. Bradman is an anomaly so I wanted to make it closer.South Africa for sure vs England.
With regards to the first one, I don't believe in the minus Bradman provision, but as it's used, WI.
Isn't it normally be seeds
1 vs 4
2 vs 3
Out of interest, who is your middle order?tbh I’m still undecided as to whether I’d have Botham/Knott/Trueman/Laker/Barnes or Knott/Trueman/Laker/Barnes/Anderson.
The batting is set for me tho.
South Africa hasBradman is an anomaly so I wanted to make it closer.
Why is SA for sure vs England? Doesn't it all depends on how you rate Barnes?
A class Above:South Africa has
Richards / Smith / Pollock /Kallis / Pollock / Steyn / Donald
That's a class above really.
May I ask where these hypothetical battles are taking place? I assume neutral venues relative to the teams involved. For example: Eng vs Aus somewhere like the WI; Eng vs WI somewhere like Australia.Aus ATG XI (without Bradman) vs WI ATG XI
Eng ATG XI vs SA ATG XI
England definitely have a better top and middle order lineup with Hutton, Hobbs, Hammond, etc. Donald and Pollock and met somewhat by Trueman and Anderson. Spinners also somewhat equal. Steyn is a big plus but then depends on how you rate a wildcard like Barnes.South Africa has

Yeah we'll go with that.May I ask where these hypothetical battles are taking place? I assume neutral venues relative to the teams involved. For example: Eng vs Aus somewhere like the WI; Eng vs WI somewhere like Australia.
I don't include Grace nor Barnes and don't rate Botham in these scenarios. Trueman as great as he was was suspect away from the swinging conditions of England and Hammond didn't love fast bowling of the variety that surely will be dispensed.A class Above:
Hobbs/Grace/Hutton/Hammond/Botham/Trueman/Barnes??
Strongly disagree there.
Richards hasn't truly proven himself, Pollock played some 20 odd matches, Smith isn't in that tier for me (though we can disagree on that one).....I don't include Grace nor Barnes and don't rate Botham in these scenarios. Trueman as great as he was was suspect away from the swinging conditions of England and Hammond didn't love fast bowling of the variety that surely will be dispensed.
Grace I understand but Barnes is hard to drop.I don't include Grace nor Barnes and don't rate Botham in these scenarios. Trueman as great as he was was suspect away from the swinging conditions of England and Hammond didn't love fast bowling of the variety that surely will be dispensed.
WI neg diffs (okay, slight overestimation)How does Aus batting compare to Win without Bradman?
Not about drop, but no one before WW1. Those guys are impossible to rate.Grace I understand but Barnes is hard to drop.
