Uh what does Indian batsmen struggling in NZ and RSA have to do with them acquitting themselves creditably in Pakistani conditions which if anything have traditionally been even more docile than those found in India? I'd say India would regularly be about 300-4 before the fingernails, teeth, and bottlecaps came out.

Focus. Kohli’s team isn't obliterating Pakistan IN Pakistan and particularly the early 90s version. The point about NZ and RSA is that early 90s Pakistan had even better bowling than both. The best Kohli’s team can hope for in Pakistan is a draw.
Yeah, the best Kohli's team would do in Pakistan is what that rickety XI without Sunny and Vengasarkar (and without Kumble) already achieved in 1989. Lmao that Pakistan would be thrashed 7 days starting from sunday.

Have you considered avoiding hallucinogens?

Have you considered crawling back under your rock? That Pakistan team also beat a very good Australian team at home in 1995. And Kohli's team couldn't beat a rickety South African team away but somehow they'd beat Pakistan IN Pakistan who lost zero series at home from 1980 to 1995.

Struggling to see what Qadir done means here given he averaged over 50 against India when he was medium-rare. A nothingburger of a bowler.

Yes, Imran was at the fag end. Wasim at his peak perhaps. Will only snort at the attempt to present Aquib as a kind of decisive bowler.

Still, on balance that was a superlative pakistan squad by their standards and recent run compared to India. There's no equivalence.

The larger point of this thread is still laughable. That Kohli's India that played one of Australia's most formidable attacks on their grounds and won - twice - would somehow struggle against *any* pakistan team of 1990s.

They'd be blanked 5-zip.
Pakistan never had three inform seamers as current India plus two ATG spinners. This Indian attack is one of the best test bowling attacks ever fielded if not the best. Pakistan always had one fast bowler in God mode (Imran 82-88, Wasim 85-91, Waqar 89-92, Asif for couple of years, Shaoib 99-2001) and others supporting. early 90s was the only time when two of those bowlers were in form. Even then, India has one in God mode and another two who are doing exceptionally. I would rate Bumrah, Shami and Siraj same as Wasim, Waqar and Aaqib. But Pakistan never had a good spin attack compared to India. On batting wise current Indian side are the best crop of Indian batsmen against pace. Cannot say the same about Pakistani's of 90s on playing pace. Plaing spin 90s Pakistanis are way ahead than current Indians.

So even the best Pakistani side they put in 90s (which incidentally has the potential to do best in Indian conditions) at maximum is only equal to current Indian side. I would go for 1-0 in a 3 match series for current Indian team.

Kohli's team beat an extremely strong Aus team away (prolly the 2nd best Aus team since the 99-07 generation) with a C team. Conveniently overlooking that.

And Pakistan benefited in 80s with home umpires. Early 90s until 95, Australia was the only good win. Drew against WI. NZ, SL and Zim were the other teams that toured 90-95.

95-00 they lost to Zimbabwe, SL, England, Australia and SA at home with almost the same team (augmented with Akhtar, Razzaq etc)

Yeah and Pakistan didn't lose at home in 15 years. And that Pakistan team drew at home to a WI team with better bowling than Kohli’s India. And Kohli’s India lost to weaker teams than this Pakistan team. India Kohli’s team is not dominating Pakistan in Pakistan you can gthoh with that...

Kohli's India has the best bowling in Asia EVER. 4 bowlers with averages below 25 in asia (near 20 tbh) and even Kuldeep/Axar have really low averages.

And Kohli's India lost to weaker teams OUTSIDE Asia. Within Asia they have won everything including away whitewashes in Bang/SL.

Once neutral umpires came into being that Pakistan team lost home series to SL, SA, Aus, Zim and Eng.

Wasim hadn't hit peak yet. Waqar was debuting. Imran was post peak.

early 90s pak got smashed in aus. kohli's ind defeated a far stronger aus.

plus even ind drew with wi at home in 89 with narendra hirwani.

wasim waqar were great but the early 90s team was way weaker than the 80s team. and waqar was poor against stronger teams.

bumrah-shami-ashwin-jadeja-axar/kuldeep>wasim-waqar-3rd pacer-2 spinners

also kohli/pujara/rahane/pant > inzamam/anwar/old miandad etc
