Which test batsman is least deserving of a century?

Of all those who scored a ton, excluding minnow to minnow contests, who is the worst bat?

I think your thread title and OP aren't asking the same thing. Title asks "least deserving of a century" which I suppose means "who hit the flukiest century?" but your OP asks "Of all batsmen with a century, who is the worst bat".

Shah probably isn't the answer to the first question (I didn't see the innings but I remember reading about it) but he is a good answer for the second (worst bat) question.

It was an extremely flukey ton. He played and missed a million times, was almost run out and got dropped too. There were also a fair few half chances.

Anyway, here's the list of test batsmen who've scored a century sorted by lowest average first.

Stuart Broad's an interesting one from that list. He did at one point look as if he could be a useful lower order batsmen, but towards the tail end of his career he could look - at times - extremely awful. So, overall career not in the picture, but if all you'd ever seen was the last few years you'd probably wonder how he'd scored a 50, let alone a 150+.
