Wait was that really bat on ground? Reckon that was an underedge and it only seemed like there was gap between bat and pad because we didn't have the in-between frame for the front on angle.
Looked pretty clearly bat on ground to me, you could see a little dust thrown up by the impact on the front-on vision.

If the rest of the series continues like the last two days gave, that Root reverse dismissal will be more infamous than Gatting's in the 1987 WC Final.
Why? He played it when they were over 200 behind halfway through a five test series. If his team can’t get over that (they won’t) they’re as weak as water.
