Foster Vs Read Vs Jones who was the better keeper batsman? And which two would you have?

Foster had a go in India and Australia I believe.

Read was also on the circuit for a long time and I think the one to take over as a replacement for Stewart.

Jones played in the ashes series 05 and I remember played a match saving knock in the NatWest series final.

Who was the better keeper batsman in both skills for England? Maybe it's Jones first than Read second.

Who would you rather have if you had to pick two out of the three?

Foster was the best combo between keeping and batting, arguably in my opinion the best of the keepers, who wasn't a bad batter but just a little short of what England wanted from their no.7. Read was a talented keeper who just didn't cut the mustard with the bat. Jones was terrible with the gloves when he first played for England, he did improve and became a largely practical if not brilliant keeper. However, after starting as a competent bat, he declined to become a raving liability in his last year of action and his last game resulted in a pair in Perth in 2006/7.

I've seen all three play. Read was on the cards, circle and then Foster came along. Jones did put up a fight and start off competently.

For me, it is Jones.

Looks like a Jones and Foster tie. However Foster could well be the better keeper out of the three.
