This is very true. It's starting to look maniacal now, however. Both he and Marnus are a chance of putting the bails back on, WG Grace style and/or running all the way out the back to the TV truck and slicing the wires to DRSSmith is a weirdo, that sort of thing is exactly what's made him the greatest batsman of his generation.
Yep, this is still a sub-par system. Michael Gough highlighted it again by refusing to acknowledge there is a leg slip, apart from to Travis Head's one in the first dig. There is a massive inconsistency in the way DRS is used that Head can cop that, and others can be reprieved because one man's very human decision making plays way too much of a role in a superior decision making technology.DRS on Warner LBW projected to hit middle stump plus both bails! Of course that equals ‘Umpires Call’ under the farcical rules that now exist.
Is he the best equipped to do it? He's almost 35 and it seems to me like the eye that allowed him to be the best batsman in the world for so long is failing him somewhat. I know Marcus Harris is no good, Bancroft doesn't feel like much better, but to think you can transition into the hardest job in Test cricket at 35 when a couple of years past your peak is pretty questionable. But maybe the balance overall of the side is best with him there, and someone else at 4.Opening is what Smith needs. I can see it refreshing him and giving him a new golden run to finish off his career
He's the best equipped by a long shot. Reckon he'll do better there than he has been in the middle-order lately too.Is he the best equipped to do it? I heard on the radio its 10 months before their next test. Bit crazy as there's no way can they build on this if that's the case.Yeah was a good stoush. Excellent spirit between the sides too. I think Pakistan can develop into a very decent side tbh, but I’ve thought that so many times in the last and they’ve fallen away. At least they’re playing at home fairly regularly now which is only right.
*BurgeySmith is a couple of indifferent series' off becoming Abe Simpsons, yelling at clouds and blaming them for his dismissals.
50 year old Steve Smith would do better than M Harris because Harris is ****.He's the best equipped by a long shot. Reckon he'll do better there than he has been in the middle-order lately too.

Clarke is a strange one. Bangladesh and UAE aside where he played 2 tests each I think, his worst average for a country is 39 in England and we all know Clarke can bat in England. He averages over 40 everywhere without having big seriesDidn’t realise how big the home and away gap for Clarke is as well
Kinda similiar to marnus right now. Averages 40 away and 67 at home. Averages 40 in England, 40 in india, 49 in sl and 34 in pak. Hasn't had any horror series, but hasn't had any Smith 2016 border gavaskar/2019 ashes style series either.Clarke is a strange one. Ehhhh England being Clarke's worst country makes sense to me, he never really managed to cope with swing bowling through his career. It's no accident that most of his success came in 2009 and 2013 when the pitches were a bit flatter. Also one who actually struggled more with lower bounce as it forced him to play at more deliveries than he usually would.Clarke is a strange one. Well 2005 he was a kid and the ball was murray-minted to all hell and 2015 he was barely walking with a ****ed back and clearly done as a sportsman, batting worse than a tailender and really shouldn't have been playing.Ehhhh England being Clarke's worst country makes sense to me, he never really managed to cope with swing bowling through his career. Yeah this is true too, but it's definitely also the case that Clarke tended to struggle with swing and seam off the pitch.Well 2005 he was a kid and the ball was murray-minted to all hell and 2015 he was barely walking with a ****ed back and clearly done as a sportsman, batting worse than a tailender and really shouldn't have been playing.
Of course he did better in 2009 and 2013, regardless of the pitches. Anyway there was nothing wrong with the pitches in 2005 they were as good batting wickets as any in England
no way, smudge wont survive the new ballOpening is what Smith needs. I can see it refreshing him and giving him a new golden run to finish off his career
And hasn't made runs for aus-A like renshaw.Picking Bancroft as Warner's replacement is a no brainer. He is the leading run scorer in the past 2 shield seasons
