I was watching the test match so I didn't have the chance to savour this but hopefully it's in the highlights at the innings breakBrilliant tactical advice from Athar - it’s a good pitch, so they should block it
Allen played a good knock when we beat the Aussies in the T20 World Cup last year but I haven't seen him do much since then at international level.Totally, Allen had a couple of great seasons at domestic level and he's struggling internationally. While there might be an aspect of his game not translating or he can't take the next step up, throwing in a 21yo who's had one good knock would be total madness.
What was he saying? I just switched back from the test.Been a defender of Sumo, but just shush.
Nothing glaring. Just being too dominant in his commentary at expense of partner (who is ex international). And being too forthright in opinions which he doesn't have the gravitas/experience to pull off. E.g describing Afif as misjudged a catch he is diving full length to that he gets on half volley. What was he saying? I just switched back from the test.
Wish he'd call it a day with those stupid cheese-cutter hats he wears, looks ****ing ridiculous.McMillan is a man of many talents, he has just switched from being a cricket expert to now being a weather expert on top of being a fast food expert.
Allen can bosh a six.Allen played a good knock when we beat the Aussies in the T20 World Cup last year but I haven't seen him do much since then at international level.
I'm not sure if Tim Robinson is the answer but it wouldn't hurt to try someone else at the top of the order before next year's T20 World Cup.
Seifert is batting well here at least and we still have Conway to come back in as an opener.
