Nah man, over that period everything that could had gone wrong in an innings of Kohli went wrong.... His batting wasn't really deteriorated, but he was unlucky too
It's crazy how luck is needed in any successful outcome. Whether it's business, sport or life in general.
Like yesterday smith and marsh got so lucky so many got past outside edge, easily could've nicked one.

Is that objectively true though? Show me his uncontrolled shot/dismissal ratio or whatever cricbuzz use to quantify that stuff in the period and I guarantee you it would be roughly the world average (9 from memory).

There was a really crappy cricinfo analysis I remember reading arguing hid catches weren't dropped much or something

See, I am not really basing my claims on stats here and it could well had been simply that I am wrong here, he got plenty of chances and still did ****. I just said that as I remembered some really unlucky dismissals, which on a good day would had gone the other way; but eye test can always be biased.

That's completely fair, even when I've seen him play vs AUS I always thought it was more a case of him getting good balls after looking in form than anything else. Would just be interested to see the overall stats on it.

Yeah, it just seemed like an umpire's call would go against him, or a great catch will be taken when he is the one who has hit it or the ball of the innings or the match or the day would be bowled at him etc.
