Currently or historically?Which country is the most difficult place to bat for touring batsmen?
You can select 2 countries if you are unsure
Lets say last 10 yearsCurrently or historically?
This is the important context that is often missed. I think England and RSA have been the toughest for batsmen but they tend to be tough for both sets of batsmen. Australia is just so unique that visiting bowlers AND batsmen find it hard while home team finds it far easier with both bat and ball. RSA can be like that sometimes but they tend to make the equivalent of 2017 Pune pitches for seamers sometimes and it brings the visiting team into the game far more often than they need to.For bowlers, Australia
Aus pitches last few years have been quite bowling friendly but prior to that from 2014 until about 2019 they were extreme roads and not hard even for a lot of overseas batsmenThis is the important context that is often missed. That’s not the questionI'm not sure I'd vote south africa. It's not easy at all for overseas batsmen, but even south African batsmen have often found it tough going at times. If we look at the gap between how the home batsmen perform vs overseas batsmen it's probably India or Australia.
I don't care bcThat’s not the question
The question is clearly about bats"men".Afghanistan (especially if you're female)
Is this more to your liking? The question is clearly about bats"men".
Ironic, considering they're the last team to win a series there.England always struggle in India.
Incorrect, India are the last team to win a series in India. In fact, they have won 16 series there since England last won in India.Ironic, considering they're the last team to win a series there.
