I think India is probably heading into this quite underprepared. Most of the key players took a break. Kohli went back to India midway through the prep for something too. That's before we get into any mental fatigue from the WC loss, which looks pretty real going by Rohit's first interview since then. Doesn't help that most of the side is from the same squad.

Don't think it'll get ugly like 0-8 after the 2011 WC, even though that was more of a celebratory break, but it is a bit worrying.

A lot depends on how our guys bowl tbh. Batting has not been great for a while away from home. Maybe Jaiswal, Gill, Shreyas and a refreshed Rahul may go ok.

Pitch apparently hasn't been rolled and under covers over the last couple of days.

They should bring Vernon back from retirement.
