I mean this quite sincerely but the slapdash fielding is truly part of the tournament's charm at this point. Wouldn't feel the same without it.
Yeah if guys took all the regulation catches it would be so much more predictable. It’s such rocks and diamonds fielding

That's a 4 for me, his foot is over the original line when he stops the ball for the second time.

I really think the game would be much simpler if they brought in a playing condition that the ball has to hit the rope to be a four. As things stand, someone busts their balls and dives full stretch to save it and gets penalised because his left big toe is touching the rope while the ball is a metre back from the boundary line

It would probably also save hours of rubbish boundary checks too.

I assume you'd keep existing 6 laws though.

You still need some extra rules though right. Otherwise you can catch it on the bounce while standing outside the rope, etc.
