I wouldn't really consider bounce a strength for T20 cricket as such. If anything, there seem to be a fair few shorter, skiddier bowlers who have seemed to have success on account of being more difficult to get under. Obviously it varies though from bowler to bowler


The yorker is definitely a good skill to have, something I hope to see him continue to work on, but for the most part the skills that make him a quality FC bowler aren't inherently transferrable

I honestly think the bbl speedguns are a bit wonky. Morris was clocked at ~140 when he bowled last season and that doesn't match up with everything else i've seen WA/ the national camp say about his average speeds in the media.

But everyone else's pace seems either ballpark or an over estimate. Might well be that they're not as quick as you think.

Sutherland's always been like this in the BBL. Fastest is barely 130 and bowls a lot around 120. It gives me some concerns about his potential international future.

Seriously, Siddle was recorded at 145 a season or two ago. He hasn't actually bowled that fast since 2009.

Bought up the morris thing cause he was clocked at an average pace of 145-150 during a shield game early last season and was operating fairly consistently at 140 for the scorchers when he played. Don't know why he would intentionally slow down in t20 compared to shield.

I don't put much weight in rumoured timings. He's been 140-145 in the BBL, but I think was a tick slower last time I saw him.
