They are resting a heap of players so are trying to scrape together an experienced core for that series. Who they select for a pretty meaningless ODI series is probably neither here nor there, but they need to selections right in the test format with crucial championship points on the line.

Yeah that's too far. He needs to be moved on from in that format.

I think it is ridiculous that Foxcroft didn't get picked, but to be fair to Nicholls he was good in our ODIs in Bangladesh (player of the series) before the World Cup with scores of 44, 49, and 50*.

What do you see in Toole? Yes a left armer, but otherwise just a standard 130km/h seamer isn't he?

Deflated by Nicholls in the ODI squad. But, looking at who else. If resting Kane, Conway and Phillips. Who, then is unlucky from that next age group? Only really Foxcroft, or Seifert.

If form is a reason then that's pretty poor IMO. I mean Seifert is neither here nor there for me, but Foxcroft is someone who committed to the system and after a kerfuffle around eligibility, should be persisted with more. If form was a basis, half the side should be dropped.

He bowls a lot of pearlers would probably be the best way to describe why. Has made a habit of bowling some absolutely unplayable deliveries.

Definitely faster than 130k, would easily be in that 135-142k bracket depending on the day. If you get a chance check out a spell of his, especially in FC cricket. He goes past the bat a lot.

Yeah I was taking the piss out of him but he has improved discernibly since the earlier period when he could not be trusted to last an over

The best thing about watching on youtube is that you can go back and check that the covers are still there or not. Don’t have to rely on cricinfo updates on weather
