*Official* New Zealand in Bangladesh 2023/24

This is such a weird game.

Bangladesh have been clearly the more skilled team in these conditions but are losing (or at least, not really winning) anyway because the other team are doing all the little things right and seem to 'want it more'.

That happens sometimes in cricket, but usually (no - always) when it does it's a massive upset by a less fancied team! Bangladesh as Goliath vs New Zealand's David is hilarious.
Well we've given Kane two chances and gifted them a ridiculous run out, which is the most Bangladesh thing ever. We're due two more dropped catches to fulfil my stated quota of five unforced errors in every single game (at least). You'd put your house on it happening as well.

Shakib has never been more right than when he pointed out that opposition bowlers usually need to create 8 genuine chances to skittle us given their superior catching, and ours need to create at least 12 to skittle anyone else.

Mehidy's batting has come along way in the past 2-3 years. Be interesting to see how/if it continues to develop.

He was a batting allrounder in U19 cricket right before he was selected in international cricket.

Now that Shakib is gone they should really be looking at him as the primary allrounder. They struggled to really get the most of him while Shakib existed in a way.

Still 331 on this deck is plenty , NZ will have to get their highest ever successful run chase in Test Cricket to win this. Previous best was 324 vs Pakistan in 94

At least we kept the lead below 350, a target of 332 is still going to be a very tough chase though, we didn't even make that much in our first innings,
