The ICC appointed pitch consultant Atkinson didn't recommend the pitch be changed, but evidently the ICC (not Atkinson) say that doesn't actually matter and he doesn't need to, and that using a fresh track is legal.

Its pretty clear the BCCI and elements of the local groundskeepers were playing silly buggers to favour the home team with the change, but ultimately it was a total storm in a teacup and really didn't play into things at all.

Don't know why you always feel the need to defend these spuds. Every cricket board ****ing sucks, and the more money they have, the worse they are. No one is accusing the Indian cricket team of anything here.

Coz mate, it is not true. There is no fact that was reported. Yes, Atkinson was not consulted and he did not need to be. The change was recommended by the groundstaff to the ICC and ICC accepted it based on set protocol. Again, accusing anything more to this is just hearsay BS and its unfortunate u feel the need to go through it, esp. given the fact the pitch produced almost 800 runs.

You can believe any lies you want. Reality is not that.
