subshakerz, serious question. Do you really think its great to rejoice on another team's failures? I am not sure if it really helps with any mental health issues.
Finding it pretty uplifting today, tbh

Just need to find the post from earlier in the tourney where an Indian fan (can’t recall who) was saying this was an ATG ODI side, one of the best ever etc etc.

I feel bad for Indian fans but India/BCCI losing is better for world cricket.

Sad seeing burgey spending his time on the forum these days having low quality back and forths with forum titans like andyhere and sunilz because no one else really engages him anymore. Even hb’s moved on.

It’s a bit like watching the ODI format trying to keep it’s relevance while losing it’s charm, the last of which has evaporated as of last night.

You know what happens AFTER that Delhi test?

You lose a home WC.

Go for it.
Yeah , we are the first Team to lose a home WC .

You know what else happened after Delhi Test , a team blew their 2-0 lead to draw a Test series in England.
IND , SL , NZ , SA all have won a Test series in Eng since 2001 .

I don’t want to pick fight with Aussie fans .This is your moment, you should enjoy. But Indian fans on this forum weren’t gloating before finals . So no need to rub on them .
You can keep fight of other forum to that forum or site . No need to bring it here .

Travis Head had a tournament like something out of a movie.

First the setback of being injured and watching Australia stumble their way in the tournament, then on return 100 in the must win clash vs NZ ,
Player of the match in Semi final , player of the match in Final
.

He's also been Man of the Match in World Test Championship and Man of the Series in the Ashes ..
History will show he was one of the best big game players ever.
The absolute best part was reading the criticism in real time that he was copping in this forum at the start of the innings.

He's a legend.

What Cummins did in captaincy was perfection, Even the Indian team must be still trying to figure it out what actually happened when they were batting. Seemed like time went very fast during India's batting and it was very hard for them to catch up with the strategies Cummins had planned against them. The type of field he placed for each batsman was out of syllabus. The number of bowlers he used and their shuffling according to the demand of the situation was a rare sight. Cummins was playing chess yesterday.

It is quite remarkable that Australia won when you think about it. Pat Cummins only captained in 2 or 4 odi games before this tournament, Labuschagne wasn't meant to be playing in this WC , they only took 1 specialist odi spinner to an Asian WC ..They changed keepers halfway through the tournament..Warner and Smith had poor Ashes series , not a lot was expected from them ..
Just shows the fighting spirit these Aussies have.
