***Official***THE FINAL- India vs Australia - November 19th - Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad (D/N)

And their fast bowlers are unplayable under lights
Yup, ever wondered why it didn't swing corners vs NZ in Mumbai? Dry wicket & little to no dew there! If there's dew then it could also swing/seam big in second innings - at least based on some of the earlier matches this WC, or maybe there's just looking to play that out & survive the early burst?

It did swing quite a bit vs NZ too. Bumrah just bowled a dreadful first spell and NZ batted relatively well to get through the first 10.

don’t think the toss will matter much.
Ball does significantly more under lights and that's kind of being India's thing in this tournament
This also massively negate Australia quick bowlers advantage because I can't see them threatening for too long in broad day light. India will get close to 300 at worst
Hope it's a group decision and not an instinctive on the spot decisions like Ponting at Edgbaston 05
Anyway it's done now.

I don’t think they do anything without some sort of group analysis these days.

the analysis in this instance probably being 3/4 games won here chasing, as the studio crew just mentioned

Much will depend on how nervous india are. Not many of them have won much of anything in tournament play

If Australia can bowl as well as they did against South Africa in the semi then bowling first might look like a great decision.

The bowling conditions don't look anywhere near as good as that game though, the conditions look great for batting so it seems a strange decision.
