BradmanSome people have a life, mate.
I've said this a few times, don't think any batsman in these conversations ever had to consistently face the level of bowling that he did. And especially not at the top of the innings.Atherton probably faced the strongest bowling out of every batsman to ever play the game.
Exactly, but still have to give Atherton the edge being an opener and the level of bowling he facedBoth better batters than their average.
Which of these people have a life?Bradman

There, I did it for you guys. Some are debatable (guess which ones for yourself), but no other players in the history of Test cricket could compete with the Man, myth, legend of Ajit Agarkar.
As always the answer isWhich of these people have a life?
Yes. The volume of powerhouse bowling he faced is genuinely insane. As an opener that plays home home tests in England too. He's not a great of the game or anything but in a stable era with a stable distribution of fixtures, I think he could definitely have averaged 45.I've said this a few times, don't think any batsman in these conversations ever had to consistently face the level of bowling that he did.
